You might ask why Mazda is working on a Hydrogen car or a Two-rotor rotary engine instead of working on a full Electric car ?
-There is a big reason behind that. Mazda's European CEO and other company official's are constantly criticizing EV's. And they're taking the future of combustion engine to a higher level what lies in the Rotary Engine technology which according to their predictions will challenge the dominance of EV's. According to the efficiency and environmental impacts of EV's where electric motors have usually 90% of efficiency comparing to the 20-30% of Internal Combustion Engine(ICE) but Mazda has to say this doesn't consider the environmental cost associated with electricity generation, transmission process and obviously the battery production where Lithium mining basically happens in countries like Bolivia which pushes poor countries like them to far more worst condition. And also the Power grid relies heavily on coal and other fossil fuels which are basically non-renewable energy produces carbon foot-prints and we use that electricity to charge our EV where basically we're indirectly powering our EV's with non-renewable energy leaving carbon foot-prints. So, that's why they're developing the rotary engine and have made several enhancement.
